Wilmington’s Public Works Department has compiled the attached list of streets on which construction or, maintenance will occur over the next week by the City itself, or by either DelDOT, Delmarva Power, or private contractors. The attached information is for Monday, January 10 through Friday, January 14, 2022.

The City’s website contains a real-time map that is updated daily so you can follow any changes to the weekly schedule caused by weather or other construction-related delays. Public Works Commissioner Kelly Williams said every effort is made to compile the most accurate list each week of street projects that could affect your travel in the City the following week. She cautioned, however, that the time frames for the listed projects could be altered if they are delayed due to factors such as the weather.
Also, on March 1 the State of Delaware’s Department of Transportation (DelDOT) began a two-year reconstruction project to refurbish and resurface a portion of Interstate 95 that runs through the City of Wilmington. The project moved into Phase 2, with traffic moving both ways on the northbound side of the highway, in December. As part of the continuing Restore the Corridor project, DelDOT advises motorists that the I-95 Southbound onramp from Jackson Street (off Delaware Avenue) and the I-95 Southbound offramp to 4th Street will be closed for several months, as will the ramps between I-95 and Martin Luther King Boulevard.
