Delaware State Police describe felony stolen property and related charges, and briefly closed South Dupont Road while investigating and recovering the vehicle.

2. Some activists oppose SEPTA's plan to close its Wilmington Train Station ticket office (delawarepublic.org) — SEPTA plans to close the ticket office at Wilmington’s Biden Train Station on December 31, and Delaware transit advocates say that will especially hurt seniors, cash-paying riders, and people without smartphones. They’re urging state transportation officials and DelDOT to pressure SEPTA to keep in-person ticket services available for Wilmington travelers along the Northeast Corridor.

3. K-8 charter school's two projects highlight importance of "restoration" (wdel.com) — Students at Wilmington’s Kuumba Academy Charter School just gained two new “restorative” spaces designed to strengthen relationships and teach accountability. 4. Archmere Academy appoints 1989 alumnus Daniel Hickey its next head of school (thedialog.org) — A familiar face to many local families, Archmere Academy has named alumnus Daniel Hickey as its next head of school, effective July 2026. Hickey previously spent more than a decade in leadership and teaching roles at Tower Hill School in Wilmington, and he returns with deep experience in Catholic education and enrollment growth as longtime head of Upland Country Day School.

5. Caesar Rodney statue may return for America's 250th (wdel.com) — A statue of Caesar Rodney that once stood in downtown Wilmington’s Rodney Square may be brought out of storage for America’s 250th birthday, potentially for a temporary display in Washington, D.C. State Sen. Eric Buckson is pushing to relocate it permanently to Kent County, while civil liberties advocates argue any new display must acknowledge Rodney’s slaveholding and complex legacy.
