Smyrna 11 CR 6 Smyrna Eagles Baseball won a Henlopen Conference game against Caesar Rodney. Smyrna Eagles Baseball got things moving in the first inning. Smyrna Baseball scored two runs when Derek Davis singled. Caesar Rodney tallied nine hits in the game. Christopher Roscoe, Jaxson Maroney, Mason Wrede, and Colson Bennett all managed multiple hits for Caesar Rodney.Smyrna's Dylan Wiley had a big offensive game for the Eagles going 2-4 (Double and HR) w/ 4 RBI'sSmyrna Eagles Baseball racked up ten hits in the game. Woodbridge 13 Seaford 1 Seth Smart led the way for the Raiders throwing 5.1 innings allowing 1 run on 6 hits and striking out 5. Trivits pitched well for the Blue Jays throwing 5 innings allowing 6 runs (3 earned) on 6 hits and striking out 4. Schroeder, Adams, and Wescott led the way offensively for the Raiders collecting 2 hits each. Griffith, Moran, and Hague each had 1 hit.Seaford was led offensively by Jude Dean and Ashton Trivits adding 2 hits each. Solomon, Hignutt, Knisley, Hare, and Speed each had a hit for the Blue Jays.

Sussex Central 3 Sussex Tech 2 Reif Steen singled to drive in the winning run in the bottom of the 7th to win it for the Knights. It was a pitchers duel between Brenden Anderson throwing 7 innings allowing 2 run (unearned) on 3 hits and Grant Allen throwing 6 2/3 striking out 10. Rosnell Lewis had 2 hits for the Ravens.

Hodgson 12 Mt. Pleasant 2 Hodgson's Ryan Reichard set the tone on the bump throwing 5 innings allowing 3 hits & striking out 4. He scored 3 runs as well. Nelvin Rivera, Trey Mullin & Peter Wilson finished with 2 hits each. Will Shahan had 3 RBI's. Catcher James Simmons led Mount Pleasant with 2 hits & scored both of their runs. Hodgson earns their 5th win on the season.

Appoquinimink 7 St.Georges 5 St. Georges took at 4-1 lead before Appo was able to claw back in the bottom of the 3rd where they scored 5 runs. Evan Bouldin had a 2 RBI Double, and Travis Peden had a RBI triple in that inning. Bouldin, Peden, and Parrish each finished with two hits for the Jags. Chase Fleming picked up his 4th win of the season throwing 5 innings, allowing 8 hits, 3 earned runs, and had 6 strikeouts. Joseph Mcdermott, and Donovan Brooks both had 2 hits for St. Georges.

Middletown 21 William Penn 1 Middletown got the win behind a great pitching performance from Quin Windett, only allowing 2 hits, while striking out 10, in 5 innings of work. The Cavaliers offense exploded in the 2nd and 3rd innings. Middletown was led at the plate by Seniors Brendan Timmons and Zak Sophy. Brendan Timmons gathering 3 hits, with a HR. Zak Sophy also gathered 3 hits, all being extra base hits, including a HR. Grygo hit a HR for the Colonials.

Newark Charter 7 Wilmington Friends 3 The Patriot's offense was led by Chase Huebner (4-4, RS) and Cam Leighton (2-3, 2RS & 2 RBIs). Matt Bennighoff's bases loaded 2 out single knocked in 2 runs in the top of the 7th inning providing the insurance runs. Aidan Kutch retired the last 9 batters saving the game for starter Sam Bilinsky.Jason Hughes (1-4), Corey Silberglied (3-4, 2B) and Adin Shweiki (1-2) each drove runs in for the Quakers.

Newark 5 Delcastle 3 Newark Yellowjackets tallied 14 hits in the game. Gavin Smith, Austin Calabrese, Joshua Porrini, and Dustin Green each collected multiple hits for Newark. Calabrese and Smith each managed three hits to lead Newark.Blackston went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Delcastle in hits.

Archmere 10 Red Lion 0 Carsten Kaiser limited RLCA to 0 runs on 3 hits with help on defense with strong play at shortstop by Alex MacWilliams and strong outfield play. The Auks offense was led by Matt Keen who had two hits including a 2B and 2 RBI. Carsten Kaiser and Nick Zhu also contrinuted 2Bs. RLCA's offense was led by hits from Anthony Contessa, Brayden Redmond and Zachary Villamor

Charter 13 AI 2 The Force offense totaled 17 hits in a 13-2 win. Will Outslay, Brady Harach, and Luke Myura all had 3 hits and Drew Brady, Justin Terranova, and Brendan Craig added 2 hits each. Francesco Filpo had 3 hits for the Tigers

Josh Reinhold was 2 for 3 with a double, triple and 5 RBI's to lead Cape. Luke Crouch was 1 for 1 with a walk and a grand-slam. Nick Cox picked up the win striking out 6 over 4 innings. Brett Shelton-Hoskins was 1 for 2 with a run scored for Polytech.

Tatnall 6 First State Military Academy 3 Michael McGinley scored 3 times and Brody Clayton scored twice to pace the Hornet offense. Clayton and Jacob Glazier combined to strike out nine batters while scattering 6 hits. Steven Bright tallied 3 hits for First State Military Academy.

Laurel 6 Lake Forest 3 Laurel picked up the win by scoring 3 runs in the 8th inning to secure the win. Tim Jones was outstanding on the mound for 6 innings striking out 10. Brady Lee lead the offense with 3 hits and 2 rbis. For the Spartans, Rhett Robbins had 2 hits including a double while TJ Hooks added a 2 rbi double.

The offense was led by Maddie Michulka who went 3 for 4 with an RBI triple, a double, and an RBI single and MacKenzie Weinkowitz with 2 hits including an RBI triple and another RBI.Glasgow's Amanda Garay-Torres and Karen Gullet each had a hit.

Delcastle 16 Newark 8 Delcastle pitcher Dineen had 9 strike outs, with an in the park home run with a total of 8 RBI's. Newarks pitcher Butz had 12 strike outs pitching the whole game.

Appoquinimink 22 St. Georges 0 Savannah Laird threw a perfect game striking out all 15 batters she faced to lead Appoquinimink to the win. She also went 3 for 4 at the plate with a triple and 2 RBI's. The Jaguars were lead by multiple hitters on the day. Alexia Fitzgerald got the scoring started with a solo home run to left she finished the day with 3 hits. Julia Weglarz double and triple for 2 of her 4 hits on the day while driving in 3 and scoring 5 times. Hailey Watlington went 4 for 5 with 2 doubles and 2 triples while belting in 6 runs.Izzy Rodriquez went 2 for 2 with 4 RBIs and Sky Eleazar also had a multi hit game.

Laurel 3 Lake Forest 0 Lake Forest Varsity Spartans fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 3-0 loss to Laurel on Tuesday. Laurel took the lead on an error in the first inning.The pitching was strong on both sides. Laurel pitchers struck out nine, while Lake Forest Varsity Spartans sat down one.Laurel opened up scoring in the first inning, when an error scored two runs for Laurel.Hill was credited with the victory for Laurel. The bulldog lasted seven innings, allowing zero hits and zero runs while striking out nine.Carah Sumpter took the loss for Lake Forest Varsity Spartans. The pitcher allowed six hits and three runs over seven innings, striking out one and walking zero. Givens went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Laurel in hits.

William Penn 3 Middletown 2 For William Penn, Renee Fields drove in three runs, going 1-2 with a walk. Rachel Haight had a hit and a run, Madelyn Pritchard added two hits and a run, and Madison Perry had two walks and a run scored. For Middletown, Jax Hackett had two hits and a run scored, Rebecca Mairoano added a hit and an RBI, and Paige McGonigal also had a hit.In the circle both pitchers had good games. Reese Founds took the loss, allowing just four hits while striking out eleven in six innings of work. Madelyn Pritchard earned the win for the Colonials, going seven innings, also allowing just four hits and striking out ten.

Lindsay Henn went 3 for 4 with a homwrun, double and 2 RBI's, Sarah Sobocinski went 2 for 4 with a homerun, double and RBI, Lillian Wenzel went 2 for 4 with a homerun and 2 RBI's for DMA.

Mt. Pleasant 4 Hodgson 3 Tori Lawson led the way for Mount Pleasant with 16 strikeouts on the mound and went 3-3 at the plate with a double, a triple, a run scored and an RBI. Hodgson's pitcher, Erin McDonough had 12 strikeouts. Alyssa Lindell scored 2 runs for Hodgson. Mount was up 3-2 going into the 7th inning when Kirah Lately scored the tieing run for Hodgson. Mount answered back in the bottom half of the inning when Kendall Allen reached first base on an overthrow. Pinch runner, Melinda Gillespie scored the winning run on a hit by Megan Anderson.

Polytech 13 Cape Henlopen 11 It was a back and forth battle all day between these two teams. Four homreuns were hit between the two teams today. The Panthers came out on top in the end. Rachel Carey led the Panthers with 5 RBI off of two doubles and Julia MacConnell added 3 RBIs. MacConnell hit her second Home Run of the year and added in a double. Carey, MacConnell, Hannah Megonigal, and Cheyenne Silves had two hits each. Mara Everton started the game and came away with the win, striking out 8 in 5 1/3 innings. Silves pitched 1 2/3 innings in relief, giving up 1 hit and 2 runs, 1 earned.
