Spirit Airlines Flight Delays Caused By 'Technical Issue'
Shortly after noon Thursday, the carrier said it was "working (its) way back to normal operations" following the issue.
FLORIDA — Spirit Airlines said the company has resolved a technical issue that affected the carrier's website and prompted numerous flight delays Thursday.
In a statement posted on social media shortly after 12 p.m. ET, a Spirit Airlines spokesperson said the carrier "resolved a network issue between third-party services" that affected the company's website, the Spirit Airlines app, and its airport kiosks.
The spokesperson also said the carrier is "working (its) way back to normal operations."

The airline first posted about the issue shortly before 8:35 a.m.
Shortly after 12:25 p.m., only 10 percent of Spirit Airlines flights were departing on time while 26 percent were arriving on schedule, according to flight-tracking website Pulse by Anuvu.

"We advise guests to check their flight status and to plan on arriving at the airport early, as we anticipate longer than usual lines," the carrier said in a statement.
