Even while we soak up summer, days will grow shorter soon, and fans of all things spooky will rejoice as Spirit Halloween takes over empty storefronts and opens for the season.

The seasonal business is opening about 100 Florida locations this autumn season, according to its store tracker.

Stores generally open on or around Sept. 1 and stay open until Nov. 1. These stores offer a variety of costumes, decorations, animatronics and accessories, plus an expanding selection of themed home decor, keeping Halloween going year-round.
