• Farmers across Florida say they're facing delays in the seasonal labor program (wcjb.com) — An Alachua family farmer says severe delays in the federal H-2A seasonal worker program are threatening his winter harvest and could wipe out more than a million dollars in crops. He and former Congressman Ted Yoho warn that visa backlogs tied partly to a recent shutdown are putting farms across Florida at risk, with potential ripple effects for food prices and availability. 
• Rep. Yvonne Hayes Hinson files legislation on the impact of perimenopause and menopause on women's health (alachuachronicle.com) — A state lawmaker who represents the Gainesville–Alachua area is backing new legislation to improve education and resources around perimenopause and menopause for Florida women. The proposal would create a Department of Health workgroup to craft outreach, online tools, and guidance on treatments, aiming to better support women, families, and employers statewide.
