• OCEARCH great white shark 'Ripple' pings off Florida's Forgotten Coast (tallahassee.com) — A tagged great white shark named Ripple recently pinged just off Apalachicola’s Forgotten Coast shoreline, after traveling nearly 2,900 miles from Nova Scotia into the Gulf. Researchers with nonprofit OCEARCH say it’s normal for white sharks to winter in Florida and Gulf waters, and they’re using satellite tags to better understand these seasonal migrations.
