• LOOK AHEAD: Oystermen prepare for partial reopening of Apalachicola Bay (wtxl.com) — A partial reopening of Apalachicola Bay for wild oyster harvesting in January and February is on the way, and area oystermen say strict limits should prevent flooding the market. Wakulla County harvesters largely welcome the move, arguing that out-of-state oysters, not Apalachicola’s, usually drive prices down. They also note early-year sales are typically slow regardless of bay openings.
