Area Churches Announce Christmas Eve, Day Services

Area Christian churches are inviting the community to celebrate the birth of Christ at Christmas Eve and Christmas Day services. 

• Christ the King Lutheran Church, 11421 Big Bend Rd., Riverview: Christmas Eve Worship Monday, Dec. 24 at 5 and 7 p.m. Christmas Day Worship with communion Tuesday, Dec. 25 at 10 a.m.

• St. Stephen Catholic Church, 5049 Bell Shoals Rd., Valrico: Christmas vigil with a living nativity presentation Monday, Dec. 24 at 4, 6 and 8 p.m. There will be Christmas pageants at the 4 and 6 p.m. Masses. The midnight Mass will feature a choral prelude. Christmas Day Masses Tuesday, Dec. 25, will take place at 8, 9:30 and 11:30 a.m.

• FishHawk Fellowship Church, 15326 FishHawk Blvd., Lithia: A community Christmas Eve service will take place Monday, Dec. 24 from 4 to 5:30 p.m. in the Newsome High School football stadium. The service will feature a special choir and communion.

• Grace Community United Methodist Church, 5708 Lithia-Pinecrest Rd., Lithia: A family service with a special children's message will take place Monday, Dec. 24 at 4:30 p.m. A candlelight service with songs of the season will take place Christmas Eve at 6:30 p.m.

• Riverview United Methodist Church, 8002 U.S. 301 S., Riverview: Christmas Eve Service Monday, Dec. 24 at 6 p.m. and Christmas Eve Midnight Service at 11 a.m.

• Lamb of God Lutheran Church, 10540 Browning Rd., Lithia: Christmas Eve Vespers Monday, Dec. 24 at 7 p.m. with free child care available. Christmas Candlelight Service Monday, Dec. 24 at 11 p.m. with carols, candlelight and the ringing of the church bell. Christmas Communion Service Tuesday, Dec. 25 at 10 a.m.

• Living Savior Lutheran Church, 2650 Lithia-Pinecrest Rd., Valrico: Christmas Eve Candlelight Service Monday, Dec. 24 at 6 p.m. and a Christmas Day Service of readings and carols Tuesday, Dec. 25 at 10 a.m.

• First Presbyterian Church of Brandon, 121 Carver Ave., Brandon: Christmas Eve Candlelight and Communion Service Monday, Dec. 24 at 5 and 7:30 p.m.

• First United Methodist Church of Brandon, 121 N. Knights Ave., Brandon: A Christmas Eve caroling service for families with children Monday, Dec. 24 at 5 p.m., a service with full orchestra and choir at 7 p.m., a service with the Praise Band and candlelight at 9 p.m. and a communion candlelight service with the bell choir at 11 p.m. 

• St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, 3315 Bryan Rd., Brandon: A children/family service will take place Monday, Dec. 24 at 4:30 p.m., a Contemporary Service is at 6:30 p.m. and Traditional Services will be at 8:30 and 11 p.m. 

• South Shore United Methodist Church, 11525 Big Bend Rd., Riverview: A Family Experience Christmas Eve Service Monday, Dec. 24 at 4:30 p.m. and Contemporary Worship at 6 and 7:30 p.m.

• River of Life Christian Center, 6605 Krycul Ave., Riverview: Christmas Eve Celebration Monday, Dec. 24 at 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.

• Resurrection Catholic Church, 6819 Krycul Ave., Riverview: Christmas Vigil Mass Monday, Dec. 24 at 4:30 p.m. and Midnight Mass with carols at 11:30 p.m. Christmas Day Services will take place Tuesday, Dec. 25 at 8 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. with a Spanish service at 12:30 p.m.
