Decomposed Body Found In Triple Creek Nature Preserve

The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office is investigating the Wednesday discovery of a body in the Triple Creek Nature Preserve.

RIVERVIEW, FL — The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a grisly discovery made by a hiker in the Triple Creek Nature Preserve Wednesday morning.

According to the sheriff’s office, a hiker came across a “badly decomposed body” around 9:41 a.m. July 12 while walking through the 13305 Balm Boyette Road preserve. The body was in a heavily wooded area, an email from the agency said.

The Hillsborough County Medical Examiner’s Office is working to identify the victim and a cause of death. No further information, including the person’s estimated age and gender are being released at this time.
