A Truck-Driver Was Working On His Truck When He Shot, Killed A Man Who Robbed Him: Cops
As a truck-driver worked on his broken down vehicle on a Seffner road Tuesday night, and acted in self-defense when he killed a robber.
SEFFNER, FL — An overnight shooting occurred in Seffner as a truck-driver worked on his broken-down truck near U.S. 92, the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office said.
According to officers, as the man repaired his truck another man walked up to him and told him to give him several items. The driver handed him the items, and then he walked away. Moments later, just before 11:07 p.m., the man walked back toward the driver and demanded the driver give him his cell phone. He had a gun in his hands, authorities said.
The driver also had a gun, and fatally shot the man, detectives said. A medical examiner pronounced him dead at the shooting location near the intersection of U.S. 92 and County Road 579

Deputies said this is believed to be a case of self-defense at this time.
Because of Marsy's Law, the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office will not release the names of victims.
