🎓 Fossil Valley Girl Scouts Congratulate Scholarship Winner

Brynlee Rhodes

Brandon, FL – June 2025 – Girl Scouts of West Central Florida’s Fossil Valley Service Unit is thrilled to announce Brynlee Rhodes as a 2025 scholarship recipient, recognizing her deep commitment to leadership, service, and sisterhood.

A Girl Scout for 11 years, Brynlee has earned her Bronze, Silver, and Gold Awards, and left her mark on every part of her community—from zip-lining through treetops to feeding families at Metropolitan Ministries.
“Girl Scouts has helped shape who I am,” Brynlee wrote in her application. “It taught me to lead with compassion and purpose. I’m blessed to have had it through all the highs, lows, and buffalos of growing up.”
Brynlee’s impact has been felt far beyond Fossil Valley. She’s hiked 35 miles of the Appalachian Trail, surfed the Atlantic, and served meals to those in need. Through these experiences, she’s built strength, resilience, and a lasting commitment to public service.
In addition to her Scouting achievements, Brynlee served in Student Government and took part in numerous mission trips. Cindy Sofarelli of Metropolitan Ministries called her “a shining star who exemplifies the qualities of a Girl Scout… Her dedication, leadership, and service make her an outstanding candidate for this scholarship.”
This fall, Brynlee will attend Texas A&M University, majoring in Business. She’ll be funding her first two years independently and plans to continue volunteering in her new community.

Congratulations, Brynlee! We’re inspired by your journey and excited to see how far you’ll go. Keep leading with your heart.
