RIVERVIEW, FL — Two men face charges after stealing a motorcycle Monday during Hurricane Debby, according to a Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office news release.

Dariel Sanchez, 29, and Yoel Luis Espinosa Nuñez, 28, removed a motorcycle from a location in Riverview and loaded it into the back of a van, and left the area.

Espinosa Nuñez was charged with possession of burglary tools, criminal mischief $1,000 or more, grand theft use of a motor vehicle, and grand theft of a motor vehicle during a state of emergency.

"It takes a special kind of criminal to take advantage of the community during a state of emergency," Sheriff Chad Chronister said. "While residents were sheltering from the winds and rain, these two felons looked to profit. Let this serve as a warning: the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office won't allow criminals to take advantage of residents during any weather condition."
