WIMAUMA, FL — The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a Thursday morning crash that killed a 34-year-old Wimauma woman and left three other people injured.
According to the agency, Sunshine Nicole Grizzle was driving a Suburban eastbound on County Road 672 around 9:05 a.m. May 25. Grizzle, an email from the sheriff’s office said, was going about 55 mph in the area of Amber Sweet Lane when a Ford F350 pulling a pump trailer approached in the westbound lane.
Deputies say Grizzle entered the westbound lane, causing the truck’s driver, Jesus Angel Aleman, 27, to honk at her, but “she did not react.”

Deputies say Aleman tried to swerve to avoid a crash, but was not successful. The front of the Suburban hit the front of the F350, causing the pickup to roll over onto its side.
Grizzle was pronounced dead at the scene. Aleman and his two passengers, Johnnie Scarborough, 42, and Drew Scarborough, 15, suffered non-life-threatening injuries. They were taken to local hospitals for treatment.
