Hispanic Heritage Celebration Comes to Riverview

The celebration comes to The Regent this Thursday, Sept. 29.

The sights and sounds of the area's vibrant Hispanic culture will be on full display at Hillsborough County's Hispanic Heritage Celebration on Thursday, Sept. 29, at The Regent, 6437 Watson Road in Riverview. The Regent will come alive with music, song, and dance performances honoring both traditional and contemporary Hispanic culture. Many of the participants will be dressed in their native country’s attire or as their favorite Latino musical icon.

10 a.m.: - Miss Latina Tampa Dance Performance10:15 a.m. - Welcome, Hillsborough County commissioners recognize 2016 dominoes champions, sponsor recognitions

10:30 a.m.- Dancing, Look Twice – celebrity lookalike performances, Colombian Folkloric Group of Tampa traditional dance performances

11:30 a.m.- Sponsor recognitions, Latin luncheon and door prizes, La Dama de la Canción

12:15 p.m. - A tribute to Latino musical icon Juan Gabriel, Divas of Zumba performance, Look Twice – celebrity lookalike performances, dancing

Members of the media are invited to attend one of the premier events paying tribute to Hillsborough County’s diversity and rich Hispanic culture.
