The honorary mayor of Riverview race kickoff party will take place Tuesday, Aug. 6 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Barnacles, 926 Providence Rd., Brandon.
Candidates for honorary mayor will toss their hats into the ring at 7 p.m. to officially announce their candidacy. There is no charge to attend but RSVPs are appreciated by calling 813-234-5944. Appetizers will be provided by sponsors Barnacles and Edward Jones-Elijah Heath.
