Hurricane Season Begins: Enter To Win NOAA Weather Radio

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FL -- Today marks the start of hurricane season. To help your family prepare, Hillsborough County Emergency Management is hosting a #StaySafe Giveaway.

Get your disaster kit ready, then follow the steps below, and you'll be entered to win a vital part of any disaster kit: a NOAA weather radio.

This is the ideal week to purchase items for a disaster kit. From Friday, June 1 to Thursday, June 7, you can purchase select disaster preparedness items tax-free.

#StaySafe Giveaway Rules

Build a disaster kit during Florida's Disaster Preparedness Sales Tax Holiday June 1-7.

Post a photo of your disaster kit on Instagram, tag Hillsborough County (@hillsboroughfl) and use the hashtag #StaySafe. All photos must be submitted by 11 a.m. on Friday, June 8 to be considered. Five winners will be selected.

Note: Winners must have a public Instagram account and follow Hillsborough County on Instagram to be selected. Winners will be notified by Hillsborough County via a comment on their submission post.
