RIVERVIEW, FL — A Rogers Middle School resource deputy created a food pantry that helped more than a hundred Riverview families in need during her six years of employment with the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.

Master Deputy Jaime Heaverin's last day at the school was Friday, the sheriff's office said. She will begin a new position with the agency's training division.

Students, staff and families donated more than 160 boxes of cereal to local nonprofits in her name to show their appreciation for providing families with food, clothes and school supplies during her career.
