A New School Opens For Children In Bloomingdale

BLOOMINGDALE-RIVERVIEW, FL — Kiddie Academy Educational Child Care, a nationally recognized provider of comprehensive educational child care programs, announced Monday the opening of the Bloomingdale location, which will serve the Valrico community.

Kiddie Academy of Bloomingdale is located at 1283 Bloomingdale Ave.

"Here at Kiddie Academy, our goal is to embrace every experience as a teachable moment and an invaluable opportunity for young children to learn," said Kaitlin Longworth, owner of Kiddie Academy of Bloomingdale in a news release. “My team is dedicated to delivering the highest quality educational child care possible to positively shape the lives of the children and families of the Valrico community.”

The 11,000-square-foot location is expected to serve more than 180 students, ages 6 weeks to 12 years old in the area, and bring about 15 new jobs to the community. This location features BEAM, an interactive virtual playground, three playgrounds and an outdoor racetrack.

“We believe that opportunities to teach and expand young minds present themselves every day and everywhere,” said Greg Helwig, president of Kiddie Academy. “Kiddie Academy empowers children with valuable tools to help make the most of those opportunities, and we aim to foster a fascination for learning in the classroom, at home and throughout the community.”

Since its inception in 1981, Kiddie Academy has been grounded in the vision to create a community that shapes and inspires children for the future.

Kiddie Academy of Bloomingdale joins a network of more than 280 locations nationwide, with 35 new Academies projected to open within the next year. The Bloomingdale location utilizes the Kiddie Academy Life Essentials curriculum, which promotes each child’s intellectual, social, physical and emotional growth.

According to Longworth, the programs emphasize continuous, open communication between teachers and parents concerning each child’s development.
