'RENT' Presented By Riverview High School
Riverview High School's musical students are performing a popular Broadway show, "Rent," this weekend.

BLOOMINGDALE — RIVERVIEW, FL — If you want to catch an outdoor show this weekend, Riverview High School's musical theatre program performs "RENT," a rock musical based in New York City during the late 1980s.
The musical was written by the late Jonathan Larson, a New York City native, who waited tables at a NYC restaurant as he worked for years writing the musical. He was inspired by his life experiences, and what was happening around him during the 1980s.
The musical opened Thursday night. Performances are also scheduled for Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. Adult tickets are $10, and tickets for students and youth are $5. The school asks that you bring a lawn chair for seating at the high school's outdoor performance, 11311 Boyette Rd., Riverview. Rental chairs are also available for $1. Parking is free at the main Boyette Road entrance.
