Riverview Teen Dies In Motorcycle Crash On U.S. 301

RIVERVIEW, FL — A 17-year-old boy from Riverview is dead following a crash Sunday morning on U.S. 301 in Riverview.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, at 8:55 a.m., the teen was traveling on a Kawasaki motorcycle north on U.S. 301 at a high rate of speed. A 72-year-old Riverview man in a Subaru sports utility vehicle was traveling south on U.S. 301. At the intersection of Balm Riverview Road, the SUV turned left into the path of the motorcycle.

Troopers said the motorcyclist collided with the SUV and suffered fatal injuries at the scene. The driver of the SUV suffered minor injuries and was treated at the hospital.
