Robinson High School Launches New Veterinary Sciences Program
Community Support Needed: Veterinary Sciences teacher Amanda Perez seeks funding for hands-on learning initiative by September 4th
TAMPA, FL—Amanda Perez, a dedicated educator with over 19 years of experience, is spearheading the launch of a new Veterinary Sciences program at Robinson High School. To make this initiative a success, Ms. Perez is reaching out to the community for support as the program is currently half funded and must secure full funding by September 4th.
In a heartfelt message posted on social media, Ms. Perez expressed her gratitude to the community for their previous support, stating, “Thank you to my neighbors and friends! Our DonorsChoose was FULLY funded to get our starter cages/tanks and some animal supplies.” However, she emphasized that more resources are needed to enhance the student learning experience.
To further support the program, Ms. Perez has created an Amazon Wish List featuring various educational supplies and equipment that will help students gain hands-on experience in animal health care. The goal of the program is to prepare students for future careers in veterinary medicine and to foster a sense of community involvement as they learn to care for animals.
