Severe Thunderstorm Warning Issued For Hillsborough County

RUSKIN, FL -- The National Weather Service in Ruskin has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for northeast Hillsborough County.

Severe thunderstorms were located over Lutz moving southeast at 15 mph with wind gusts of 60 mph and hail. Expect damage to roofs, siding and trees.

Doppler radar is also tracking a strong thunderstorm over Brandon, moving south at 10 mph. Half-inch hail and winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible with this storm.

Locations impacted include Tampa, Temple Terrace, Lutz, Pebble Creek, Lake Magdalene, University, Greater Carrollwood, Greater Northdale, Keystone, Busch Gardens, New Tampa, University Of South Florida, Lettuce Lake Park, Cheval, Thonotosassa, Plant City, Brandon, FishHawk Ranch, Riverview, Palm River-Clair-Mel, Valrico, Seffner, Mango, Dover, Progress Village, Orient Park.
