2 Critically Injured In Early Morning Car Fire In Hillsborough County

The Florida Highway Patrol investigated an early morning single-car crash near Big Bend Road in Hillsborough County.

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FL — Two Bradenton men were seriously injured early Friday morning when the 29-year-old driver lost control of his SUV near Big Bend Road and crashed into a guardrail, a Florida Highway Patrol news release said.

The driver headed southbound on Interstate — 75 at about 1:04 a.m. crashing into a barrier and then bounced off the guardrail and hit a tree where the SUV caught fire.

A 27-year-old passenger and the driver were last reported in critical condition, according to authorities.
