Tampa General To Open Riverview Family Care Center

The new family care center will open Aug. 19 in Summerfield Plaza in Riverview.

Starting Aug. 19, South County residents will have easy access to health services provided by Tampa General Hospital.

TGH is opening a family care center in Summerfield Plaza, 10647 Big Bend Rd., Suite 212, Riverview, offering a full range of health care services to residents of the area.

The new Riverview center will be staffed by primary care physicians Prema Ramsahai, D.O., and Linh Nguyen, M.D. and staff, and will provide routine services such as woman’s well-care exams, children’s well-care exams, flu shots, physicals and immunizations as well as care for chronic diseases, seasonal illnesses and more.

Catering to newborns up to senior citizens, the center will accept Medicare, Medicaid and most major insurance.

The office won’t accept walk-ins but will provide same-day appointments as needed. Hours will be 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

According to Sharon Ford, director of ambulatory services, for TGH, the Riverview center is part of the hospital’s continued effort to bring its services to the people who need them. In the past year, TGH has opened primary care centers 214 Morrison Rd., Brandon, in Carrollwood and in South Tampa. A seventh center is expected to open in Sun City Center this fall.
