U.S. 41 Construction At Big Bend Road Postponed
Construction at the busy intersection was scheduled to begin Friday but the Florida Department of Transportation has postponed the work.

GIBSONTON, FL — Construction at the busy intersection of U.S. 41 and Big Bend Road has been postponed until a later date. The Florida Department of Transportation will announce a new closure when a date is available.
Construction was scheduled to begin Friday as part of the intersection improvements that include replacing the asphalt pavement at U.S. 41 and Big Bend Road with a durable concrete surface.
In addition to the intersection improvements, this FDOT is repaving approximately 8.5 miles of roadway between 15th Avenue and Bullfrog Creek, adding a sidewalk along the west side of U.S. 41, and connecting existing sidewalks on the east side of U.S. 41 from bus stops to nearby intersections.
