Victim Identified in Fatal Bradenton Shooting

Breaking: A man was killed during an early morning shooting in Bradenton.

BRADENTON, FL — The Manatee County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a deadly Thursday morning shooting.

According to the agency, a 911 came in around 6:22 a.m. Sept. 29 about a person down near the corner of 10th Street Court East and 59th Avenue Drive East. When deputies arrived, they found a man dead.

“The victim was found (to) have at least one gunshot wound,” the agency wrote in a media release.

The victim has been identified as Charles E. Saffore Jr., 36.

No further information is available as homicide detectives continue the investigation.
