5 Things You Need To Know Today: January 3
Holiday break is over for students, bundle up this morning and

1. Manatee County students return to school today after the holiday break. Drive carefully!
2. Don't forget to bundle up the kids (or yourselves): temperatures were expected to drop down into the 30s overnight. It's cold out there!
3. You can reserve your tickets now for Happy Days. The stage musical version of the television sitcom opens at the Manatee Players Jan. 12. Performances are Tuesday through Thursday at 7:30 p.m., Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. Tickets are $25 for adults and $11 for students. Tickets may be reserved by calling 748-5875 Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. or on the Manatee Players’ website. All performances are at 102 Old Main Street in downtown Bradenton.

4. The downtown Bradenton Farmer's Market resumes on Saturday.
5. The Manatee County Commission will meet Thursday at 9 a.m. in a land use meeting. The ordinance regulating sexually oriented business is on the agenda.
