Driver Rear-Ended Vehicle Pulling Out Of Ambulance’s Way: Bradenton Police
Two citations were issued in a three-vehicle crash on Manatee Avenue/Causeway that involved an ambulance, Bradenton police said.

BRADENTON, FL — A driver who rear-ended a vehicle pulling over for an ambulance that had its emergency lights on was cited for causing a three-vehicle crash Saturday night on Manatee Avenue/Causeway, Bradenton police said in a news release.
Officers responded to the crash, which involved an ambulance that was transporting a patient, just before 10 p.m.
A driver who was trying to get out of the emergency vehicle’s way was rear-ended by a second driver, causing the first vehicle to hit the ambulance, police said.

“Fortunately, no one was seriously injured,” officers said.
The driver who rear-ended the first car that was pulling out of the way of the ambulance was cited for careless driving.

The crash was closed going both ways on the causeway at Perico Bay Boulevard and traffic to Anna Maria Island was restricted.
A driver who wasn’t involved in the crash was cited for driving around a police barricade, police said.
