Bradenton 4th Of July Fireworks 2017: What To Know Before You Go
The City of Bradenton also reminds its residents not to set off their own fireworks in the city limits.

BRADENTON, FL – While Bradenton will have two Independence Day fireworks displays for area residents to enjoy, the municipality reminded its residents to leave the firecrackers to the professionals.
Fireworks are banned by law in Bradenton, except by licensed professionals. However the City of Bradenton and the Bradenton Marauders will continue their traditions of hosting fireworks displays.

Bradenton’s Law Banning Fireworks
According to the Bradenton Code of Ordinances, Section 54-8, it is illegal to possess, discharge or use firecrackers, rockets, torpedoes, Roman candles or other fireworks, plus pistols, canes, cannons or other appliances using blank cartridges or caps containing chlorate of potash mixture.

The Bradenton Marauders will kick off the 4th of July weekend early with its annual Independence Day Celebration during their game against the Florida Fire Frogs on Saturday, July 1. LECOM Park’s gates are scheduled to open at 4:30 p.m. for the 6:30 p.m. first pitch.
The first 1,500 fans admitted will receive a free Bradenton Marauders Independence Day themed T-shirt. The celebration will feature a face painter, a balloon artist and a Kids Zone. There will also be a pre-game parachute demo by the Para-Commandos and a themed jersey auction.
The post-game fireworks, sponsored by Budweiser, are schedule to start shortly after the last out.

Fireworks over the Manatee River
Bradenton’s annual 4th of July fireworks display over the Manatee River is scheduled to start around 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 4. The city has advised the event is always well attended and for those interested in attending to plan accordingly:
- The Green Bridge will close to pedestrian traffic at 8:30 p.m. and vehicles at 9 p.m. The bridge is expected to reopen at 10:30 p.m.
- No vehicle traffic will be allowed north of Third Avenue West/Ninth Street after 8:30 p.m. Pedestrians will be allowed on sidewalks north of Third Avenue but not on the bridge.
- Barcarrotta Boulevard may close upon determination by the Bradenton Police Department’s assessment of vehicle and pedestrian flow. The road will not be reopened until pedestrian traffic clears
- Free parking will be available at the municipal parking lots at 1000 Third Ave. W. (City Centre Lot), 1300 Fourth Ave. W. (near First Baptist Church), 410 10th St. W. (County Parking Garage) and 615 12th ST. W. (City Parking Garage). Limited parking will also be available at Bradenton Riverwalk.
- Old Main Street will be open to vehicle traffic.
