Bradenton Woman Killed In Crash: Police

MANATEE COUNTY, FL — A Bradenton woman was killed in a crash early Sunday morning in Manatee County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The incident occurred about 1:45 a.m. on Cortez Road West near 44th Avenue East in South Bradenton, police said. The woman, age 25, was driving a sedan eastbound when she failed to negotiate a curve, left the road, entered the grass shoulder, and hit a light pole and a utility pole, according to police.

She was pronounced dead at the scene and the crash remained under investigation, police said.
