FL-Based Community Bank Expands With New Location On West Coast

A FL-based community bank has continued its expansion on the state's west coast with a new location in Manatee County.

BRADENTON, FL — A Florida-based community bank is expanding in Sarasota and Manatee counties.

Cogent Bank announced a new banking center at 1001 Third Ave. W. in Bradenton, according to a news release from the company.

“Cogent Bank is eager to provide exceptional financial services to the residents of Bradenton and the surrounding regions,” Mikel Sharpe, senior vice president and market president in Manatee and Sarasota counties said. “Our downtown Bradenton banking center will provide financial services to the local community through our business, personal and private banking services.”

The Bradenton location is a full-service banking center that can assist with personal, business, private wealth and residential lending needs.

The location has a team of seven local bankers and is looking to hire two commercial relationship managers by the end of the year, Cogent said.

The bank is part of the company’s larger expansion into Florida’s west coast with full-service banking centers already open in Tampa, Clearwater, Fort Myers and Naples, as well as a loan production residential lending office in Sarasota.
