FL Deputies Shoot Armed Man During Domestic Disturbance
An armed man was shot by deputies respoinding to a domestic disturbance call in Parrish, the Manatee County Sheriff's Office said.
PARRISH, FL — Deputies shot an armed man while responding to a domestic disturbance Monday night in Parrish, the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.
When they arrived at the home in the 13000 block of Shimmering Amethyst Court at 10 p.m, they found the suspect, Hayden Firth, 29, outside.
Firth disobeyed deputies’ commands and when he pulled a gun from his waistband, deputies opened fire on him, the sheriff’s office said. He was shot three times.

No deputies were injured during the incident.
The suspect was brought to a hospital, where he was in critical, but stable condition as of Tuesday afternoon, the sheriff’s office said.

The three deputies involved in the incident are on administrative leave according to the agency’s policy for officer-involved shooting investigations.
