Did Skateboarders Damage Veterans Monument Park?

The chairman of the Manatee County Veterans Council is concerned tat skateboarders are damaging the Manatee Veterans Monument Park.

The council has had to make several repairs to benches there were cracked or broken, Don Courtney told the Bradenton Herald.

The city's skate park in Bradenton Riverwalk is nearby, though Courtney has not seen skateboarders on the benches at Monument Park.

Courtney told the Bradenton Herald:

"I personally haven't seen them, but I have seen them riding over the bricks. The paved bricks are dedicated to Manatee County veterans.

Police report that they have not seen any problems at the Manatee Veterans Monument or responded to any complaints there.
