Garbage, Recycling Picked Up By Tuesday Ahead Of Ian: Manatee County
As Hurricane Ian makes its way toward Florida, Manatee County plans to pick up recycling and garbage by sunset on Tuesday.

MANATEE COUNTY, FL — As Manatee County prepares for the impact by Hurricane Ian, all garbage and recycling routes will be completed on Monday and Tuesday, the county shared on its Facebook page.
Lena Road Landfill hours have been extended to 6 p.m. on both days to accommodate the haulers and any residents wanting to dispose their refuse there.
Residents should remove any items not collected by sunset on Tuesday from the curb and safely secure them, so they don’t become projectiles when Ian hits Florida, the county said.
