Hit-And-Run Leaves Bradenton Bicyclist with Minor Injuries
An 18-year-old Bradenton man was struck by a vehicle while riding a bicycle Monday morning.

BRADENTON, FL — The Florida Highway Patrol is looking for help identifying a motorist involved in a Monday morning hit-and-run crash that left an 18-year-old with minor injuries.
According to the highway patrol, an unknown vehicle was heading west on Orlando Avenue around 7:18 a.m. Monday, Oct. 17. As the vehicle was approaching U.S. 41, Miguel Marin was stopped southbound on the sidewalk on U.S. 41 and Orlando Avenue.
When the crosswalk traffic signal cycled for southbound crosswalk traffic, Marin entered. The driver of the vehicle, however, did not see him and hit the left side of the bike, a highway patrol report said. After the collision, the motorist turned right to head north on U.S. 41 and left the scene.

Troopers are now looking for what might be an older model Toyota Celica that is red in color.
Marin, the report said, suffered minor injuries.
