Man Walking Along FL Highway Hit, Killed By Pickup Truck
A 19-year-old walking along U.S. 301 in Manatee County on Saturday morning was hit and killed by a pickup truck, FL troopers said.
MANATEE COUNTY, FL — A 19-year-old Parrish man walking along U.S. 301 in Manatee County was hit and killed by a pickup truck on Saturday morning, according to a Florida Highway Patrol news release.
Both the truck and the pedestrian were heading south on the highway, south of Prosperity Lakes Boulevard, just after 9:30 a.m.
The front right of the truck hit the man, who was in the southbound lane, FHP said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver, a 31-year-old Wimauma man, was uninjured in the crash, which remains under investigation.
