New Manatee FitFest To Bring 5K Race, Fitness, Yoga To Robinson Preserve In Bradenton
This March 5 outdoor showcase of local businesses, fitness activities is free to attend, though pre-registration required for the 5K race.
BRADENTON, FL — Manatee County is launching a new 5K race March 5 at the Robinson Preserve in Bradenton.
The inaugural Manatee FitFest is an outdoor showcase of local businesses and fitness, healthy lifestyle and outdoor activities, the county said in a news release.
Event entry and classes are free, but pre-registration is required for the 5K race.

Beginning at the Mosaic Center for Nature, Exploration, Science and Technology (NEST), participants will walk, run or stroll around waterways, over wooden bridges and up a scenic rise to look out over Tampa Bay during the race. While the race begins at 9 a.m., there are plenty of other activities — from yoga to bootcamp training and even a DJ — to keep everybody moving all day long, the county said. Following the mainstage events, attendees can partake in other scheduled bonus classes like hooping, HIIT, acro-yoga and paddleboard.

Participants of all ages and fitness levels are welcome to participate at Manatee FitFest.

- 7:30 a.m. - Sign your waiver and drop your mat
- 8:00 a.m. - Bootcamp with Anna Neal of Livefit Training
- 9:00 a.m. - Run or walk the 5K (pre-registration required)
- 10:30 a.m. - Yoga with American Yogi
- 11:15 a.m. - Guided meditation with Ria Ray
- 11:45 a.m. - Grab lunch
- 12:00 p.m. - Mindfulness with Leniza Vega, Grit Cardio with One Tribe, Running Injury Prevention with Run Manatee or Sup Yoga with Salty Buddha
- 12:30 p.m. – Hula Hooping for Everybody with Outward Spiral or Orienteering with Manatee County
- 1 p.m. – Active Recovery with iRestore Fitness, Fit Crew, Acro Yoga with Get Bent Yoga Studio or Paddleboarding 101 with Salty Buddha
- 1:30 – Orienteering with Manatee County
- 2 p.m. – Gym Stick with Beyond the Mat Yoga, Mat Pilates with Mantra Fitness, Acro Yoga with Get Bent Yoga Studio or Sup Yoga with Salty Buddha
