PALMETTO, FL — The Manatee County Sheriff's Office is investigating the death of an 18-year-old man.   According to the sheriff's office, a motorist traveling in the 2000 block of 1st Avenue East near 20th Street East in Palmetto spotted a body on the east side of the road Sunday night. Alexander Anderson, deputies say, was found in a pool of blood, dead from "apparent gunshot wounds to his upper body."  Deputies were notified of the discovery around 11:40 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 2.  Homicide investigators are working the case, but no further information has been released at this time.  Image via Shutterstock
