Southern Rockers Lynyrd Skynyrd To Headline FL Charity Concert
Funds raised at a concert headlined by Lynyrd Skynyrd in the Bradenton area will benefit hospitality workers displaced by hurricanes.
PALMETTO, FL — Southern rockers Lynyrd Skynyrd are headlining a charity concert, Rock ‘N’ Support, to raise funds for local hospitality workers affected by recent hurricanes.
The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame band will take the stage at the Bradenton Area Convention Center in Palmetto on Nov. 15 with special guest Marcus King.
Tickets range from $75 to $500 for a VIP experience and meet-and-greet with the band. They can be purchased online here.

Proceeds will benefit Anna Maria Island and Longboat Key workers who were displaced after back-to-back hurricanes, Helene and Milton.
“When we got the call, we were happy to jump on board,” lead vocalist Johnny Van Zant told the Bradenton Herald. “The band is a Florida band, and our manager lives in Sarasota County as well. So, we have family, friends and many fans affected by these storms. If we can raise some money for those in need and take people away for a night of great music, then hopefully that is a ‘win-win’ and brings a little comfort to the community, then, LET’S GO!’”

The concert is hosted by The Center on Anna Maria Island with support from the Manatee County Tourist Development Center.
All proceeds from the event will go to two local non-profit organizations, Shuckin’ Good Cause and The Center of Anna Maria Island’s Hurricane Relief Fund, which will disperse the funds to those in need. Displaced hospitality workers can apply for grant assistance through these organizations.
“We are excited to support this important initiative through our Tourist Development Council, featuring one of Florida’s most legendary Hall of Fame rock bands. This concert will help raise funds for our barrier island hospitality employees — dedicated individuals who have consistently provided first-class service to our residents and visitors,” Commissioner Mike Rahn said, according to a news release from the Center of AMI.
