SpaceX Plans FL Expansion With New Satellite Ground Facility
As SpaceX expands in Florida, the company hopes to build a new satellite communications facility in Myakka City, reports said.

MYAKKA CITY, FL — SpaceX is looking to expand in Florida with a new satellite communications facility in Manatee County, the Bradenton Herald reported.
The company, founded by Elon Musk in 2002, filed paperwork to build a facility in Myakka City at 3350 County Road 675, the Herald said. It’s south of Lake Manatee and west of Waterbury Road.
The project’s proposal calls for fenced-in gravel .73-acre compound with 40 satellite antennas and one headend equipment rack, reports said.

The proposed satellite ground station would be a part of the company’s growing presence in Florida, the Tampa Bay Business Journal said.
