Thousands Of Violations Issued In School Zones Since August: Bradenton Police
School speed zone cameras have led to thousands of traffic violations being issued since school started in August, Bradenton police said.

BRADENTON, FL — Thousands of traffic violations have been issued in school speed zones since the start of the school year, Bradenton police wrote in a social media post.
As of Monday, officers have issued 3,541 tickets to drivers since August with the highest speed recorded at 67 mph.
Violations are sent to the registered owners of vehicles that exceed the posted speed limit by 10 mph or more, police said.

Speed zone cameras are located at 10 schools within city limits. While the cameras operate during the entire school day, the hours of enforcement vary for each camera.

- Ballard Elementary School: Camera at 1800 9th Ave. W. School zone speed limit is 15 mph from 7:55 to 8:40 a.m. and 3 to 3:45 p.m. The regular posted speed limit is 30 mph from 8:40 a.m. and 3 p.m. Violations are issued from 7:55 a.m. to 3:45 p.m.
- Bradenton Christian School: Camera at 3300 43rd Street W. School zone speed limit is 20 mph from 7:30 to 8:25 a.m. and 2:40 to 3:35 p.m. The regular posted speed limit is 40 mph from 8:25 a.m. and 2:40 p.m. Violations are issued from 7:40 a.m. to 3:35 p.m.
- JP Miller Elementary School: Camera at 700 43rd Street W. School zone speed limit is 20 mph from 7:55 to 8:40 a.m. and 3 to 3:45 p.m. The regular posted speed limit is 35 mph from 8:40 a.m. to 3 p.m. Violations are issued from 7:55 a.m. to 3:45 p.m.
- Manatee Elementary School: Camera at 700 15th Street E. School zone speed limit is 20 mph from 7:55 to 8:40 a.m. and 3 to 3:45 p.m. The regular posted speed limit is 35 mph from 8:40 a.m. to 3 p.m. Violations are issued from 7:55 a.m. to 3:45 p.m.
- Manatee High School: Camera at 3300 9th Ave. W. School zone speed limit is 20 mph from 7 to 7:45 a.m. and 2:10 to 2:55 p.m. The regular posted speed limit is 30 mph from 7:45 a.m. to 2:10 p.m. Violations are issued from 7 a.m. to 2:55 p.m.
- Moody Elementary School: Camera at 5400 38th Ave. W. School zone speed limit is 20 mph from 7:55 to 9:35 a.m. and 3 to 3:45 p.m. The regular posted speed limit is 20 mph from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Violations are issued from 7:55 a.m. to 3:45 p.m.
- Sugg Middle School: Camera at 3700 59th Street W. School zone speed limit is 20 mph from 7:50 to 9:35 a.m. and 3 to 4:30 p.m. The regular posted speed limit is 40 mph from 9:35 a.m. to 3 p.m. Violations are issued from 7:50 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- Prine Elementary School: Camera at 3300 Southern Parkway. School zone speed limit is 15 mph from 7:55 to 8:40 a.m. and 3 to 3:45 p.m. The regular posted speed limit is 30 mph from 8:40 a.m. to 3 p.m. Violations are issued from 7:55 a.m. to 3:45 p.m.
- GD Rogers Elementary School: Camera at 500 13th Ave. W. School zone speed limit is 15 mph from 7:55 to 8:40 a.m. and 3 to 3:45 p.m. The regular posted speed limit is 25 mph from 8:40 a.m. to 3 p.m. Violations are issued from 7:55 a.m. to 3:45 p.m.
- Sea Breeze Elementary: Camera at 3600 71st Street W. School zone speed limit is 20 mph from 7:55 to 8:40 a.m. and 3 to 3:45 p.m. The regular posted speed limit is 25 mph from 8:40 a.m. to 3 p.m. Violations are issued from 7:55 a.m. to 3:45 p.m.
