Turkeys needed for Community Thanksgiving Dinner
Bradenton Salvation Army seeks contributions of turkeys to serve those in need this Thanksgiving.

From The Salvation Army:
BRADENTON, FL - Many of our friends and neighbors right here in Manatee County will be hungry and alone over the upcoming holiday season. Each year, The Salvation Army Manatee County opens its doors to the community for a Thanksgiving dinner, which is served from 5 pm to 6 pm at 1204 14th Street West in Bradenton. This annual community meal typically feeds close to 500 people each year and serves more than 100 turkeys, stuffing and all of the traditional fixings.
In order to prepare this dinner, we need turkeys. “As we have in previous years, we ask our friends in the community to journey with us as we make the commitment to journey with others through the donations needed to prepare a traditional holidays meal,” says Major Dwayne Durham, Manatee County Regional Coordinator.
