Two Motorcyclists Killed, Teenager in Serious Condition
Charges are pending in the accident.

Two Winterhaven residents were killed Sunday nightafter the motorcycle they were riding was hit by a Bradenton teenager who hit the motorcycle head on, ejecting both the driver and passenger, according to a Florida Highway Patrol report.
According to the FHP report:
John W. Washabaugh, 61. and Fay D. Washbaugh, 55, both died at the scene. Marissa A. Hamilton, 17, is in serious condition at Manatee Memorial Hospital. A passenger in the car, Dillion M. White, 23, sustained minor injuries.

Hamilton was driving on State Road 62 near Parrish when the 2005 Toyota Prius she was driving ran off of the road on to the north shoulder. Hamilton overcorrected to the left and crossed over into the east bound lane of SR 62, hitting the front left side of the 2008 Harley Davidson motorcycle.
Hundreds of motorcyclists were in the area over the weekend as Sarasota hosted Thunder by the Bay. The accident happened at about 8:30 p.m. Sunday.

The driver and the passenger on V-2 were both ejected onto the south shoulder of the road. The Toyota stopped on the south shoulder of the roadway facing west.
Charges are pending in the case.
