What’s Open, Closed On New Year’s Day 2025 In Bradenton

Here are some closures and schedule changes for Manatee County government offices, facilities and services for the new year.

MANATEE COUNTY, FL — With Bradenton-area residents celebrating New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day, here are some closures and schedule changes affecting government offices, facilities and services over the holiday weekend.

Manatee County Government Offices: All offices will be closed Wednesday.

Manatee County Garbage Collection: There is no garbage, yard waste and recycling in unincorporated areas on Wednesday. All collections are postponed one day. The regular schedule resumes Monday.

Manatee County Area Transit: Fixed route and Handy Bus services will not be available on Wednesday.

Manatee County Libraries: All library branches are closed Wednesday.

Manatee County Parks and Natural Preserves: Open to the public.

G.T. Bray Recreation Center: Closed Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. and all day Wednesday, reopening Thursday.

Manatee County Aquatic Facilities: The facilities at G.T. Bray Recreation Center and Lincoln Park close Tuesday at 1 p.m. They open Wednesday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. with family swim scheduled from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Manatee County Golf Course and Buffalo Creek Golf Course: Open Tuesday and Wednesday.

Manatee County Public Schools: Schools will be closed through Jan. 3. Students return to the classroom on Jan. 6.

City of Bradenton Government Offices: Closed Tuesday at 3 p.m. and all day Wednesday.

City of Bradenton Garbage Collection: There are no changes in residential solid waste collection on New Year’s Day. Offices are closed Wednesday.
