2 Bodies Found Inside Valrico Apartment: Sheriff

VALRICO, FL — Two bodies were found inside a Valrico apartment complex Tuesday night, the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office said.

Detectives are investigating the death of the men who were inside a unit at Valrico Station Apartments, 108 Valrico Station Road. A neighbor heard gunshots in the area before 9 p.m. and called 9-1-1, authorities said.

"We do not believe this was a random act and there is no indication of risk to public safety," Sheriff Chad Chronister said. "However, we are in the midst of the holiday season and now families are left grieving a sudden and painful loss. This violence has a profound impact on so many lives and in order to ensure justice is served, those who know who did it, or have any details about the incident, must speak up."
