4-Vehicle Pileup On I-75 at U.S. 301 Kills Brandon Man
Troopers said the 42-year-old Brandon man wasn't wearing a seatbelt and was thrown from his pickup truck.

BRANDON, FL — A 42-year-old Brandon man has died following a four-vehicle pileup on Interstate 75 near U.S. 301.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, on Wednesday at 4:18 p.m., four vehicles were heading south on I-75 when a pickup truck driven by a 28-year-old Dade City man slowed for traffic ahead and was struck from behind by a car driven by a 24-year-old Tampa man.
The crash caused a chain reaction and the pickup truck struck another pickup truck in front of him driven by the Brandon man, which overturn as a result of the impact and the driver, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was thrown from the truck.

The pickup truck driven by the Dade City man then entered the path of the 24-year-old Tampa man's car, striking the passenger side, and continued forward, striking the left rear of a car driven by a 22-year-old Ruskin man.
A passenger in the Ruskin man's car suffered minor injuries.
