RUSKIN, FL — The Florida Highway Patrol is asking for help identifying the driver of a green SUV that struck a boy on a bicycle on New Year’s Eve and then took off from the scene.
According to the agency, the vehicle was heading south on U.S. 41 in the inside lane south of State Road 674 around 7:20 p.m. Dec. 31. At that time, Cameron Fuller, 13, was crossing U.S. 41 from west to east south of the marked crosswalk. The SUV’s driver didn’t see the bike, a highway patrol report said. The front of the vehicle hit the bike, but then kept on going.
