Bus Driver Faces Sexual Assault On Student Charges: Sheriff
Sheriff Chad Chronister said the student is brave for reporting the sexual assault that occurred on the school bus.

RUSKIN, FL — A 45-year-old school bus driver in Ruskin faces charges of sexual assault on one of his riders, the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office said.
Ronale Divad Johnson is accused of taking advantage of the victim when they were alone with him on the bus Thursday. Authorities said he serves as a bus driver for Lennard High School, East Bay High School, and Beth Shields Middle School. He has worked as a bus driver in the area since February 2020, according to investigators.
Police said the victim reported the sexual assault, and Johnson was arrested on charges of sexual battery and lewd or lascivious molestation Friday.

"Parents place their trust in authority figures within our school system, and this suspect undoubtedly broke it when he chose to take advantage of this student," Sheriff Chad Chronister said. "I want to commend this very brave student for coming forward, and doing what is right, so this driver can face the consequences for his despicable actions."
