Donald Trump Announces Lakeland Rally
The Republican presidential hopeful will be in Lakeland for a rally next week.
LAKELAND, FL — Tampa Bay area Donald Trump supporters who want to see their presidential pick in person before the election will get their chance Wednesday. Trump’s campaign has placed a rally in Lakeland on the schedule.
Trump is set to appear at Lakeland Linder Regional Airport’s Sheltair Hanger at 3 p.m. Oct. 12. Free tickets for the rally are available on the campaign website. Doors are scheduled to open at noon. Trump also has upcoming rallies in Panama City and Ocala.
Trump has been sliding in the polls following the first presidential debate in late September. Real Clear Politics gave Democrat challenger Hillary Clinton a 4.3 percentage point lead notionally as of Friday.

The second of three scheduled presidential debates is set to take place Sunday, Oct. 9 at 9 p.m. Eastern. CNN’s Anderson Cooper and Martha Raddatz from ABC are moderators for the event that takes place at Washington University in St. Louis. The format this time around is town meeting style, meaning audience members will be able to ask questions.
In the Sunshine State where Trump and Clinton had been running neck-and-neck, the Democrat is starting to pull out ahead, according to recent polls. Real Clear Politics gave Clinton a 3.2 percentage point lead in Florida as of Friday.
